Coaching and Resources for Missionary Parents
I (Clare) am Mum to a teenage boy and two pre-teen girls. We usually live in the South Pacific, where my husband and I support Bible Translation. When my children were all still under ten, it became apparently that something needed to change with my parenting! Since then, I've been learning more about more about how to love and discipline my children in a way that encourages them to grow in wisdom and responsibility, while also knowing that they are safe and loved.
In 2022 I trained to be a parent coach with Connected Families. I'm excited for the opportunity to support other parents in their parenting journey, just as mine also continues.

Coaching
I offer four coaching one-hour coaching sessions, based on the Connected Families Framework. There is no charge for missionary parents. Here are some quotes from people who I've coached:
''The parent coaching course made me think, really for the first time, about how my child experiences my parenting - how they experience my reactions to their actions. It was eye-opening!
'It gave me so much to think about, was all rooted around great Scriptural principles, and has a plethora of creative ideas to help parents and children connect and communicate.'
'I feel better prepared to understand things from [my child's] perspective and put into practice some ways of Biblically and gently responding to challenging behavior.'
"Through the Connected Families coaching, Clare provided us with fresh insights on how to empower our children, and address issues in our parenting. Her coaching broadened our understanding on parenting"
"She was very flexible when we had to change our meetings a couple of times because of internet access issues and also in the time difference between us and her and we greatly appreciated this!"
